Hello Ultimately Uni Community! 👋
You’ve probably seen (or at least heard of) the viral Ashton Hall morning routine on TikTok — the ‘lock in’ mentality, early starts, cold showers, relentless productivity. It’s sparked both inspiration and parodies, and honestly? This month has felt a lot like that for me!
With presentations, my dissertation, assignments, and exams all at once, it’s been full-on. But this is exactly what I came to uni for, right? I remind myself daily: I’m living in answered prayers. What once felt so far away is now my reality, and I’m grateful.
Planning and organisation have been my anchor — prioritising tasks, setting realistic deadlines, and most importantly, knowing when to ask for help. It kept me focused in the chaos.
But let’s be real; focus isn’t just about studying. It’s about having a long-term outlook, setting goals that align with your future, and making sure today’s actions build towards that vision .It’s also about prioritising wisely. I used to say yes to everything — every opportunity, every invite. And while that opened a lot of doors, I’ve learned that streamlining my yeses is where the real magic happens. Selective focus is powerful 🔑
And let’s not forget: Focus means rest, too. Burnout helps no one. Knowing your limits and respecting them is essential. Rest allows you to sustain momentum, not just survive the busy season. Here at Ultimately Uni, we have taken this month to refocus, plan and we have some exciting plans for May!
As we enter a busy stretch for our Ultimately Uni Community, especially with the academic year coming to an end, remember: it’s okay to prioritise yourself. Focus fiercely, but don’t forget to breathe. You’ve got this!
And before I go — I’d love to hear from you: What’s your version of ‘locking in’ this month? Reply and share!
See you next month—our theme will be: Reflection. We'll take the time to unpack this academic year and reset for the next one.
Chloe ✨
